Dirk Van Dyck

The first real pigeons I got were from my uncle Jos Dillen, who still competed at ninety three.  At the beginning of my breeding career, in the mid-seventies, I raced exclusively at Quievrain, 113km, with growing success.  From 1986, I was as good as overall champion in Zandhoven.  I decided to change to the middle distance with my birds.  As yearlings they immediately flew six times 1st place in 1994.  I never regretted the move to the middle distance, as it was a success from the outset.

The Premier Stud Directors visit Dirk Van Dyck in September 2009. They are handling New Kannibaal, a yearling cock that has won for Dirk Van Dyck a 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Prize flying in this hot-bed of the Antwerp union area. Within hours of this photo, The New Kannibaal was sold to Premier Stud for a large sum and is now breeding with us. Dirk has had a great racing season in 2009 winning 22 Firsts among his many, many prizes.
